Mrs. Felista Wangari, founder of 52 Week Money Challenge Kenya group advising Soldiers on how they should conduct their savings.
Personnel and Logistics branch of the Kenya Army Headquarters held a Financial Management seminar at Kabete Barracks from 17th to 21st September 2018. Motivational speakers were invited to share knowledge and experiences with military personnel on how to manage and invest their income.
One of the key speakers, founder and administrator of ’52 Week Money Challenge Kenya Group’ Mrs.Felista Wangari, encouraged personnel present to save money. Mrs.Wangari took the seminar participants through lessons on how to declare and pledge their savings at the end of the year. She further advised on various ventures they can invest their money on.
Mr. Stephen Muiru, a motivational speaker, lectured on how to gain and manifest on personal power. Mr. Muiru advised soldiers that one needs to know his/her purpose in this world for one to succeed in life.
In his address, Major R.W. Mungai from SAD at Defence Headquarters also advised the Service Members on how they should use their money wisely without investing too much on bank loans. Seminar participants were as well given a breakdown on the various existing allowances for military personnel, how they are calculated for various ranks and tasks and how they are awarded.
During the Closing of the five day seminar, Lieutenant Col C.M Mugoof Kabete Barracks advised participants to adhere to what they have learnt throughout the seminar. “Saving what you earn will make a great future for your generation” he concluded.
